Every day is an exciting learning adventure for young children. Through their play, interactions, and everything that they experience with all of their senses, babies and toddlers absorb the elements of their world and are shaped by their encounters. Montebello Jewish Center's Early Childhood Program aims to provide stimulating, nurturing experiences in a supportive and loving Jewish environment to help our children develop intellectually, socially, physically, spiritually and emotionally.

Our program is thoughtfully structured and high-energy. Children have the opportunity to play and learn on their own, with their peers, with their parents and with our teachers. Our indoor classrooms are equipped with new, clean, stimulating materials, and we have different learning centers for our varied activities. We also wish to create Jewish references for our young children through exposure to Jewish music, art, dance, food, stories, symbols, rituals, holidays and language.

Our teachers are licensed early childhood specialists and were selected for their warmth, creativity and love of children, as well as their training to guide children of different levels and abilities to blossom in all aspects of their learning. The parent-school partnership is a precious one to us, and one about which we deeply care and value.

We thank you for the opportunity to share in your child's growth and development, and look forward to learning, laughing and loving with you!

Sincerely,

Jackie Iaria, Early Childhood Director ( e-mail me at Jiaria01@optonline.net )

Double Date (10-24+ months)
Double Date is a unique two-day-a-week program designed for moms and dads (or other caregivers) and their children from ten months through two years. Double Date is a well-structured, high energy program that offers all of the elements of the classes that you would bring your child to individually – art, music, gross motor, etc. – in one place. The program emphasizes learning through play, and the curriculum introduces children to colors, shapes, seasons and other basics through stories, games, music, and other activities. There is a focus on Jewish life and traditions following the calendar, with songs, stories, dance, foods and celebrations.
Double Date meets on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:00 – 11:30. You may register your child for one or two days.
