Sisterhood seeks to enhance the
community of MJC. We add beauty to the synagogue with Bima flowers. Ruach to
the holidays with snacks for the children, cards and Purim bags. We provide
programing to enhance and enrich the lives of our membership. Really, our
girls just want to have fun and do some good while doing it.
The women who participate are phenomenal, we range from young moms to
retirees. Everyone gives perspective and support to their fellow members in
and around our community. They have become our extended family.

Sisterhood is beginning a new activity — the MJC Book Club,
which will be hosted by Alison Zimbalist in her home. Each month, we’ll
read a different book that
explores the lives of Jewish women - both fictional and real - and
the threads that connect all of us.
Please join us at the Sisterhood meeting on Sept. 8 at 7:30, where we
will be selecting this year’s books.
The first Book Club event will be on Tuesday, Sept. 16 at 7:30 p.m. The
first selection is The
History of Love by Nicole Krauss, now
available on Amazon.com for about $11, as well as at local bookstores and
libraries. |

Just remember that Sisterhood is only as strong as its members.

Our Gift Shop
The Sisterhood Gift Shop is open for you to treat
yourself, or someone you love to something special! The shop is open during
Adult Education classes, Hebrew School times on Thursdays and Sundays, and
