In keeping with the philosophy of the Conservative Movement,
Montebello Jewish Center Hebrew School is dedicated to educating our
youth to be knowledgeable and participating members of the Jewish
people and responsible members of the community.
Our goals are to serve the congregational family by providing a
comprehensive educational experience that is student outcome based. We
are dedicated to help our graduates become individuals who:
• Read Hebrew proficiently
• Have an understanding of synagogue ritual
• Understand the meaning and significance of Jewish prayer and are
proficient in the use of the siddur
• Appreciate the importance of assuming meaningful roles in the Jewish
community locally as well as Jewish communities nationally and
internationally
• Apply Jewish ethics, values and traditions to everyday life
We hope to deliver on these goals in an environment that is inspiring
and one that prepares our children with the essential values, ideals
and traditions for practicing Judaism in our ever-changing world!
Sincerely,
Rabbi Morris Zimbalist
